Nigeria Police Arrests "Most Wanted" Kidnapper

 


Men of the Nigeria Police Force, Anambra State Command, have arrested Olisa Ifejika, a most wanted kidnapper, according to the state Police Commissioner, Ballah Nasarawa.

He said the suspect has been on the list of wanted persons for high profile kidnappings, armed robberies and murder, adding that Olisa is also connected to the kidnap of Igwe Ihembosi in 2010.

Displaying the arms, ammunition, police uniforms and bullet proofs recovered from the kidnapper, the commissioner said a combined team of the IGP’s special task force and SARS operatives in the state acting on information, arrested Olisa and one other person at Ifite Oraifite in Ekwusigo Local Government Area of the state.

“The suspect and his gang have been operating for about two years, and within that period, they killed five policemen at Okija, three at Ozubulu on April 2, this year, and attacked both Amichi and Ukpor police divisions on April 4, this year”, the CP said.

He reaffirmed the commitment of the command to riding the state of crime, and called on members of the public to volunteer useful information that would aid the police in crime fighting.
