Update On Redeemed Pastor Who Impregnated Choir Member

Due to complaints we got from many readers of OFB that they could not read this story as a result of a technical problem, we've re-worked on it. Below is the story:

Things are not the same any more! Gone are the days when men and women "of integrity" think their actions through before making a move.

According to report, a pastor with the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, in the Enerhen area of Delta State, recently set himself ablaze to escape the shame of his illicit affair.

It was gathered that the decision of the Pastor, simply identified as Pastor Celestine, to take his life was because he allegedly impregnated a choir in his parish whose name is given as Rose.

It was learnt that he pleaded with Rose to abort the pregnancy which she refused blatantly as she did not want to lose her life during the abortion. He gave her a cheque for N2,000,000, which she refused, even after explaining to her that her refusal to abort the pregnancy may lead to the fall of the parish.

After all efforts to get Rose to abort the pregnancy failed, he reportedly drove himself to Udu bridge under which he lit himself and was burnt to death. He was married and had a 2 month old baby from his wife of two years

Why Is My Husband So Ungrateful And Unfaithful?

My heart is heavy and I'm very confused; all thanks to my husband and his promiscuous nature. How can I explain that we are just 3 years into our marriage and this man I called my husband has started chasing other women?

Before we got marriage he was always complaining whenever we're having sex that I'm adding too much weight and that I'm not flexible. To satisfy him in bed I started watching my weight and going to the the gym until I trimmed down a little.

Now the story has changed. My husband is no longer attractive to me because I don't have big boobs and other attractions of fat ladies. He can't take his eyes off busty ladies anywhere he goes and the worst he that he's now dating one ugly fat lady in our area.

I've caught him more two times with this lady and he can't even deny it. Now am beginning to regret why I listened to him about my weight before we got married.

If I go out to satisfy my urge people will condemn me. But with the way he's going, if he doesn't change, I will have no choice than to look for another man to help myself since he hardly make love to me and even when he does, it's not as hot as before.

Please, why is it that men are so unfaithful to their wives?

- From a trouble wife

Another student shot dead: RIP Wunmi Adebayo

This time it's a female student of Tai Solarin University of Education. According to classmates and friends of the slain student who sent the story to me, Wunmi Adebayo (pictured above) was shot dead last night at a male friend's house at Golden Estate in Ijebu Ode, Ogun state.

The 200level student was visiting the friend when they were attacked by armed robbers who robbed them and shot her in the face because she fought them off when they tried to rape her.

The 21 year old was buried today at Ijebu Ode according to Islamic rites. Her friends say she was very jovial, friendly and kind hearted. Her candlelight procession will hold tomorrow at skyfield in Lagos.

I have a photo of her corpse but it's probably not necessarily to put here. May her soul rest in peace...amen!

Kanye watched Kim's sex tape while sleeping with other chicks -TMZ

TMZ report...:-) Read it below...
Before Kanye West was nailin' Kim Kardashian ... he used to nail other chicks while watching Ray J nail Kim Kardashian. Multiple sources with first-hand knowledge of the situation tell us ... Kanye used the Kim K sex tape in the bedroom to get him in the mood ... and it always worked.
As we previously reported, Kanye has had a thing for Kim dating back several years ... and even tried to get her to break up with Reggie Bush in 2009 so they could get together.
We know he loves the sex tape ... he even raps about it on his upcoming album. Now, Kanye doesn't need the sex tape anymore ... he has the real thing ... and once again, Ray J becomes irrelevant.

Update On The Bloody Attacks In Lagos On Sunday

How robbers kill three policemen, civilians in deadly operation. 10 injured. Police gun down two suspects. Government says no cause for alarm.

It was indeed a bloody day in Lagos on Sunday September 9, 2012, as rampaging robbers shot dead three policemen, a bureau de change operator, an Okada rider and a bus driver.

As at Monday morning, Olufamous.com gathered that there were reports of more deaths. Also, more than 10 people were believed to have been injured. They include an official of the Lagos State Traffic management Authority (LASTMA).

The bureau de change was attacked in Agege. A large amount of foreign currencies was reportedly carted away by the robbers, who killed one of the operators.

The robbers, said to be eight, including two women, drove round in two SUVs - a Prado and an Armada. They shot the policemen who were inside their patrol vehicle near the Guinness Brewery on Oba Akran, Ikeja. Two of the five policemen inside the patrol van died instantly. The third was taken to the hospital, where he died.

A stray bullet hit a six-year-old girl in the eye. Her grandmother was hit on the forehead. They were watching television in their home at 15, Alfa-Nla Street in Agege on the outskirts of the city.

A stray bullet also hit a parked Volvo ambulance with registration number HL 355 AAA belonging to Motolani Medical Centre. It shattered the rear windscreen.

The robbers were said to have been spotted at about 10.35a.m at Ifako-Gbagada from where they reportedly drove through Oshodi to Mile 2 and Agege. They shot dead an Okada rider in Ijesha on the Oshodi-Apapa Expressway.

At Agege, the police reportedly engaged the robbers who shot sporadically and headed toward Ogba. On their way, a driver of a commercial bus, (Lagos XQ336 EKY) was shot dead. His vehicle crashed into a ditch at the Railway crossing.

An eyewitness, a commercial motorcycle operator who simply identified himself as Kabiru, said he was following the SUV in which the robbers were operating, unknown to him that they were armed robbers, until he saw how they suddenly double crossed a patrol team and started shooting at the policemen.

He said: “It was like a war scene. I saw death with my eyes. They shot dead two policemen. I took cover near the war zone.”

Lagos Police Commission, Umar Manko, confirmed the incident. “The police got wind of their operation and were chasing them and, in the process, two officers were killed,” Manko said.

The CP noted that the hoodlums killed the policemen because the patrol vehicle was met in an Isolated place. He said he suspected that the bandits had snatched a police communication equipment, with which they monitored police directives.

Meanwhile, the Lagos State Government has assured residents of adequate security. It described the situation as “unfortunate” but urged residents to be vigilant and go about their duties

Air Nigeria passengers stranded for hours in London, asked to buy Aviation Fuel

Over 190 Air Nigeria passengers arrived Gatwick Airport 8:30 yesterday morning to fly back home ...and for 8 hours, they were stranded at the airport. The travelers were informed of lack of 'fuel' to fly the aircraft to Lagos, and were told to contribute extra £40 each for purchase of 'Aviation Fuel!

Eventually, the plane left Gatwick airport at 4:30 pm and arrived Nigeria at about 12:30 early this morning.

After spending extra hours before leaving Gatwick for Lagos, and arrived way past midnight, passengers were shocked to be informed to come back for their luggage!

A lot of them are so mad about what they went through yesterday and are planning to sue the airline company and it's chairman, Jimoh Ibrahim. Got this info first hand from passengers on-board the aircraft last night.

From tomorrow Monday September 10th, Air Nigeria will no longer fly...for at least a year.

BEWARE!! Your Own Bath Towel Can Give You Gonorrhea

Human bodies get dirty and so do bath towels. You wash your body every day, but do you ever wash your bath towels? How often and how thoroughly do you wash your wash clothes?

Do you hang your towel on a rack in the bathroom all week, or you care to spread it out in the sun? Do you ever think about what might be lurking in your dirty towels?

Do you share your towels with anyone? Come to think of it, when was the last time you changed your favourite towel—three months, six months, 12 months, or never?

There is no such thing as a harmless old towel. Even if you aired it, boiled it and disinfected it, an over-used bath towel could still wreak havoc against you! Most towels on the market are made of 100 percent cotton. That makes them very absorbent.

After a shower, you would probably have eliminated most of the germs and dirt from your skin, but do you know that the process of rubbing your towel against your body rubs off dead skin that sticks to the moist towel? Believe it or not, your towel could be a magnet for some of the most deadly but contagious germs imaginable.

Among these are pathogens for sexually transmissible diseases such as gonorrhoea and trichomoniasis.

For the sake of your good health, beware of the following contagious diseases from bath towels. All of them are treatable with antibiotics, anti-fungal medications and good hygiene. But most of all, avoidance of poor towel hygiene is the best prevention.

Gonorrhea
Neisseria gonorrhoeae is a sexually transmitted infection. The causative bacteria are present in the seminal fluid of infected men or vaginal discharges of infected women and are easily spread through physical contact that may be sexual or non-sexual such as sharing of bath towels. Many persons don’t know, but the gonorrhoea bacteria could also be transmitted from the towel to the eyes, so you do not want to be rubbing that dirty towel where it counts, do you?

Gonorrhoea is curable, but the bacteria can infect the genital tract, the mouth, and the rectum, and can also wreck havoc in a woman’s cervix, womb, birth canal, and fallopian tubes. The end result for a woman might include pelvic inflammatory disease, infertility, or ectopic pregnancy. Women are particularly more at risk because they often have no symptoms even while the damage is being done.

Tip: Avoid rubbing your eyes and genitals with the same towel. Practice careful hygiene to avoid contagion! Absolutely no towel sharing!

Trichomoniasis
A sexually transmitted parasitic infection, Trichomonas vaginalis is a microscopic parasite and is one of the most common sexually transmitted diseases. Most of the times, you don’t get symptoms, but they can include itching, burning, pain, irritation, painful urination, discharge, and odour. Failure to get treatment can lead to re-infection.

Tip: Change or wash your towels often as possible.

Barber’s Rash
This is a skin infection in facial hair areas. It is also known as “Folliculitis”. The underlying medical cause is or Staph Infection which can be notoriously hard to treat. It can spread to the rest of the body through use of a contaminated towel.

Tip: Don’t share your towels with someone else.

Conjunctivitis
This is the infamous contagious eye infection also known as “Pink Eye”. Conjunctivitis is a group of diseases that cause swelling, itching, burning, and redness of the conjunctiva, the protective membrane that lines the eyelids and covers exposed areas of the sclera, or white of the eye.

Symptoms include “pink” eye, irritated, reddened, crusting, gritty, itchy eyes, swollen eyelid, eye pain and/or discomfort, light sensitivity, yellow discharge from the eye, or your eyelids glued shut after sleep.

Tip: Don’t rub your face with the same towel used to rub your body. Use a separate face towel and never share towels.

Impetigo
Impetigo is caused by different streptococci strains. Symptoms include skin rash with pus and discharge, pimples, blisters, itching rash, dried scabs, excessive scratching, and a blistery rash that spreads. Sometimes on your face!

Tip: Change or wash your towels often as possible.

Scabies
A common infestation of the skin with the microscopic mite Sarcoptes scabei, spreads rapidly under crowded conditions where there is frequent skin-to-skin contact between people.

Symptoms are mainly rashes and itching all over the body, and infections that form in the skin from all the scratching.

Tip: As above.

Tinea
General term for various fungal skin afflictions. Not only can these fungal afflictions affect your skin, but also they can infect your nails. Symptoms include ring-like raised itchy patches, blisters, scabs, and temporary scalp hair loss at site of infection.

Tip: Change or wash your towels often as possible.

Trachoma
A chronic follicular conjunctivitis that leads to scarring in the conjunctiva and cornea and it can lead to blindness. Seriously, who ever thought this could come from a towel? From red and/or watering eyes with swollen eyelids and sensitivity to red lumps on the eyelids and multiple lumps , giving you nasty eye pain, corneal scarring and dimming vision that gets progressively worse until you are totally blind. Not a joke!

Tip: Don’t rub your face with the same towel used to rub your body. Use a separate face towel and never share towels.

Tips on towel health
Assess your current inventory of bathroom towels, bath sheets or washcloths. Hang towels in layers. If you have basic towel bars, the first strategy involves stacking towels according to size. Begin with a bath sheet and fold a hand towel over it, ending with a washcloth. Instead of hooks, try modern towel clips for holding up towels in tight spaces

My Husband Wants A Divorce Because I Had Sex With My Ex-Guy: What Can I Do?

I’m in a serious crisis in my home and I need help to get myself out of this mess otherwise I will be thrown out of my matrimonial home by my husband.

Please I beg you keep my name secret. Trouble started for me few weeks back when I was travelling to the university I passed out from to clear some documents and ‘sort’ one of my lecturers whose course I didn’t really do well in.

I got to Abuja very late that night and I couldn’t get a bus to school due to the security situation, while trying to locate a small hotel where I can just spend the night I ran into my ex-guy who is now based in the city. He convinced me to pass the night in his place since he was single and lived in a two bedroom apartment, I accepted but when my husband called me I lied that I’ve gotten to school.

Later that night my ex came to my room and gave me a laptop as a gift, as if he knew I needed one badly. I was torched and one thing led to another and soon I was on top of him and we had great sex, I must admit. He dropped me at the park the next morning and on our way to Gwagwalada the bus was attacked and I lost the laptop and my bag with all my money.

I had to call my husband, not knowing that he had even confirmed that I didn’t get to school the previous night. He called me a prostitute and a liar. He said his friend saw me with a man leaving a hotel in Abuja city and that his friend even sent him a picture of us... I cried on the phone and begged him but he asked me to "go back to that man".

Now am back to Lagos but things are not ok at all, my friends have helped to beg him but he refused and I can’t involved my parents, I'm ashamed! Please I need Olufamous.com readers to help me out. In the last six weeks I’ve not had sex bcos my husband has refused to sleep with me.

What can I do to appease my husband?

I Caught My Husband Sleeping With A Small Girl In His Office

How come men are not satisfied with sex, no matter how many times their wives give it to them? This is the question I want an answer to and I will be greatful if u can be of help.

Olu Famous this is a serious matter since me and my husband now live as enemies in our home. I've been hearing a few gossips about him sleeping with one small girl in his office, she's an office assistant to him; but I didn't believe because I give him enough sex at home.

Unfortunately, I caught him in the act live. It was like a movie when I got to his office and the guy at the reception was trying to delay me with statements like my husband is busy. I however got angry when he told my that his boss said he should not be disturbed.

I opened the door to his office and to my surprise my husband was not on seat and the office was empty. But what I saw when I opened the toilet door was crazy! My man was having sex with this girl, with both of them completely naked inside the toilet. I hit them with my bag and started shouting on them. I wished I had seized their clothes but I wasn't thinking straight.

My husband is begin me that the girl tempted him with the short dresses she wears to work and said he is ready to sack her. But I don't trust him any more because I believe he will still be seeing her even if she no longer works in his office.

I'm contemplating a divorce and my friends are in support but my parents are against it. Who should I go with in this issue? My friends who support my divorce plan or my parents?

Jonathan Will Be On His Own In 2015 – Na’Abba

President Goodluck Jonathan is sure going to face an uphill task in winning the 2015 presidential election, if he decides to contest as strong indications have emerged that the North will not voted for him.

Former speaker of the House of Representatives and a staunch supporter of the president in the run-up to the 2011 general elections, Alhaji Ghali Umar Na’Abba, has declared that the North would not vote for President Jonathan in 2015.

He said the President has done “lots of things wrong to the North”.

The former speaker declared thus: "The way President Jonathan has been handling the party, there is a wide gap between him and Northerners. And I am afraid that Northerners will not return him to power again, because he did lots of things wrong to the North. The feeling is very strong against him.”

Asked if he foresees the possibility of the North stopping Jonathan from clinching a second term in office, Na’Abba responded: "It is very possible because, right now in the North, the feeling is that Jonathan is not worth voting for. People feel that most of the people who supported him didn’t have the moral laxity to go and canvass for votes for Jonathan in the North. Those whose houses were burnt during the electoral violence have not been compensated. Lots of people do not have faith in him.”

Asked if he had any regrets supporting the president in the 2011 general elections, Na’Abba said that he is worried about unfulfilled promises especially to the North. "When he was a candidate, what he often told us was that he would give attention to agriculture. And as a northerner, I am very passionate about agriculture.

"My regret is that I have not seen any Northern farmer who is happy as a result of anything Jonathan’s agriculture policy has brought to him.... it will make it very difficult for some of us to support him again.”

Olufamous.com gathered that Na’Abba, who was the speaker of the House of Reps from 1999 to 2003 was a victim of the post-2011 election violence. He lost his properties in Kano and he's blaming his loss on his support for President Jonathan.

Cossy Goes Crazy With Her Nude Photos On Twitter

“Make me your attendant tonight. I will gladly play my roles,” Cossy tweeted along with pictures which showed a generous view of her ample bosoms and backside.

It is hard to ignore Nollywood actress and singer, Cossy Orjiakor. But the voluptuous actress, who embraced controversy with her half nude performances in Fuji artiste Obesere’s, music video, Apple Juice, seems to easily forget just how hard it is for some men to ignore her.

Bored and feeling ‘a little mischievous’, the actress made her Twitter fans pay for her ‘memory lapse’ by tweeting explicit pictures of herself recently.

Probably taking her tweet seriously, it wasn’t long before some men reached out to her, offering her ‘crazy’ roles, in their attempts to make their fantasies of her a reality.

The reactions she got from men who are crazy about her expose' was so much that Cossy had to get back on Twitter to demand respect for her privacy.

She tweeted, “That I follow you does not mean I am sexually attracted to you. So, if you DM (Direct Message) me about how good you are in handling boobs, I will block you. #warning.”

Recall that this is not the first time Cossy has been forced to ask fans to respect her privacy on the social networks. The actress, who started acting around 2000, had sometime last year taken to Facebook to warn some women to keep their husbands away from her.

“Wives, please hold your husbands. If you are married to, or you’re a girlfriend to Oyi Vitus Obunike or Oraniaka Patrick, please tell these old men to leave me alone. If you are not satisfying them sexually then go for some training. My inbox is filled with their messages. Now they are turning nasty. It’s not by force. Get a life, I’m living mine, delete yourselves or let me be,” her damning posts read

Unbelievable! Dead Man Appears After 37 Years

An amazing event was recorded in the ancient town of Abeokuta, Ogun State, as a man that was believed to have died about four decades ago was sighted at Mawuko area of Odeda local government area of the state.

The appearance of a man known as late Sheikh Ibraheem Nyaas at a newly constructed building in the area has continued to attract visitors both within and outside the State since the unusual event occurred few days ago.

Credible sources confirmed that last week Friday, the "ghost" of sheikh Ibraheem who had died for almost 37 years ago started appearing on the walls of a building belonging to one Saubana Fadeyi.

Expectedly, the strange happening has turned the sleepy Mawuko village into a Mecca of sorts as people thronged the area to see another oddity and seek the face of Allah.

The owner of the building who moved into the yet to be completed two bedroom flat a day to the eid el fitri celebration while speaking with a reporter confirmed that he started noticing a very faint brightness on the wall of his sitting room and the figure that showed on the wall was a replica of the portrait of Sheikh Nyass that he engraved at the entrance of the building.

His words: “My wife first noticed it and she rushed out to inform me, when I also saw it, I was greatly terified, wondering how such thing could have happened".

“My thought was that the ghost would eventually disappeared but on the second day, it brightens more and started showing on all sides of the building which made me ran to a pastor of a church near my house for assistance".

Collaborating the husband, Mrs Maryam Fadeyi said that when she saw that the happening was a strange thing, "I told my husband to inform those that knows better than us, it was then we called on an Imam at a nearby mosque after the Pastor that we invited had advised that we seek for help from muslim clerics to solve the misery".

Fadeyi said that he immediately invited some Muslim clerics in the area to come and behold the strange happenings in his house.

Fadeyi said "shouts of 'Allahu Akbar (God is Great)' rented the air as hundreds of people trooped in to behold what happened".

A MUST READ!! Why Many Christians Engage In Immorality

As a Christian, when the King of Glory comes, will you be found wanting? Rev. (Dr.) Chidi Anthony of Kings in Christ Church asks in these excerpts presented by Tai Anyanwu:

Have you found yourself in a poorly ventilated house in the peak of the hot season? Have experienced the discomfort in such enclosure when there is power cut from PHCN? Or have come close to a blast furnace? Then you can imagine how miserable life can be within a blazing environment.

The misery of hail fire is far much unbearable. The Bible says that hell’s blazing heat is from eternity to eternity. What preparation have you made so that you will not find yourself in hellfire? Have you carefully considered and decided where will fall in, if Jesus the King of glory comes now and takes his faithful servants?

The world is full of evil. People are killing, maiming and robbing others here and there. Kidnapping, abuse of authority, betrayal and desecrating the temple of God have become rampant. Am I talking to somebody?

In the days past, if robbers in operation notice that the owner of the house being robbed is awake, the thieves will scream and run. But these days, it is the house’s owner that scampers when robbers come calling. Then young and unmarried lovers do not have the boldness to walk openly on the street. If they are caught by their parents, guardians or elderly relations, the young people would run, dashing into the nearest hiding place.

But today, such virtue is non-existent. Boys and girls who are still under their parents boldly bring their lovers into the family living room and say, “Hi Daddy, Hi Mummy. Daddy and Mummy, this is Susan my girl friend and Susan, these are my Dad and Mum.”

That is immoral character and everything is wrong with such immoral relationship. Immorality is reigning in this age and time. In my growing up years back in the village, if someone’s daughter got pregnant while she is yet not married, the girl’s parent would be so ashamed that to walk around the village becomes an uphill task.

But in this generation, things have turned upside down. What is happening? Remember the Bible says, “When you see these signs, know you that the arrival of the son of man is at hand.” The devil has introduced some crazy modes of dressing into the world. I used to think that women in those days wear pants as an added covering for their nakedness.

Today, we hear ‘G-string’, or is it ‘Q-string’ pants? What an abomination, messing up the moral sanctity and destroying people of this generation. Children of God, open your eyes to understand what is happening. It is high time we went on our knees and ask God to have mercy on our generation.

The rapture can happen anytime. Where will you be? What kind of life have you been living? What preparations have you made to secure for yourself a place in heaven? Who are you, a true child of God or one of the crowds? Only you can answer these questions. Today, I come to sound a warning because the trumpet can sound the next minute. I have seen a man retire to the comfort of his tastefully furnished house only to die in his sleep. We should not be afraid to die because death is ordained; but we should rather beware not to spend eternity in hail fire.

Regrettably, people can do anything to make money these days. People kill and dupe to make money. It is common even to see children of God dupe brethren in church and take lives for selfish motives. No one cares to give assistance to the widow; rather, people intimidate them because no one speaks for her. Majority of those that do these evil, in our villages, are those who go by the name ‘Christian Fathers and Christian Mothers.’

Watch them, their finger nails are stuffed with deadly poison, ready to take an innocent life. They speak evil to create discomfort for others and their tongues wag with words that consume the entire body with fire.

Our young men who have made it in the city are terrified to travel back to the village; because if they do their business would be into disarray upon their return. When the bold ones do, they dare not spend stay longer few minutes to reunite with family members and relative because household wickedness would compel them to start life all over have also seen cases of pretty, and well endowed young ladies who have been barred from getting married owing to oppression of house-hold wickedness.

Others have their wombs tied through spiritual wickedness, just plunging them into painful life childlessness; but woe unto you that is filled with evil.

In times past, it used to be a thing of joy to go visiting relations in the villages. During such occasions, people gladly break and share kola nut which is seen in some part of Nigeria as a covenant of peace. Today, when people go on such visits, they avoid eating of the symbolic kola nut will carry bitter kola in their pockets. The ignorant may eat the kolanut, contact tuberculosis and die. What an evil generation.

The question is; when will all these things come to an end? If only we can come together as Christians, leave holy lives and join hands to pray for our generation, God in heaven will have mercy on our nation. He says, “If the people that are called by my name shall gather themselves together and forget their evil doing and call upon my name, I shall answer them and I will heal their land.

Remember that when the angels of the Lord were yet on their way to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah and Gomorrah because of the wickedness of those cities, Abraham interceded. He pleaded with God to save the righteous in the cities; but not a single man was found righteous. This reminds me of a sorry situation some God’s people found themselves in, which I was opportune to witness while I was ministering in a church in Aba, Abia State.

The church is situated opposite a hotel many prostitutes swarm. Among the women of easy virtue was this notorious harlot. She would get drunk and fight naked, on an open street shamelessly. On that fateful day, the church was in session and I was ministering. Praise worship went to a crescendo and the notorious harlot entered the church.

She found a seat at the rear and she sang along as worshippers rendered high praise unto God. My eyes were opened to see God leave heaven and come into the church. God searched for the person through whom He would speak to the church. God moved to the pastor’s row, he could not find a man among the pastor to speak through. He was disappointed. God moved on to the prayer warriors to search for a human vehicle. Again, God could not find any worthy vessel.

Getting to the ushering department, he was disappointed also. God searched among the choir there was none found worthy. In the entire congregation there was not a single worthy human vessel for God to use as His oracle at that point in time. When there was not a single worthy person in the regular congregation to be used, God entered the prostitute and used her to speak to the church. After that God went back to heaven.

What does that signify? God simply showed them that even the prostitute better than the regular church crowds. I want to ask you a question: if Christ comes to this church now, will He find you worthy?

Obasanjo Can No Longer Dictate To Jonathan –Presidency

The decision of President Goodluck Jonathan to back the proposed introduction of N5,000 note into the Nigerian economy is one issue that is still generating ripples.

Reacting to former President Olusegun Obasanjo's criticism of the N,5000 note, the Presidency has waved it off, describing it as his personal opinion.

Senior Special Assistant to President Goodluck Jonathan on Public Affairs, Dr. Doyin Okupe, told journalists in Abuja that Obasanjo is an “ordinary citizen" and whatever he said has no bearing on President Jonathan.

Obasanjo had, at a forum in Lagos last Thursday, said the N5000 denomination, if allowed, would kill production and affect small businesses negatively.

But Okupe, a one-time spokesman for the same Obasanjo, said the Federal Government is right to approve the denomination, irrespective of whatever Obasanjo has to say.

“It is a project of the Central Bank of Nigeria and it is also important to carry people along. From my investigation and discussion with experts, there is no assurance that it will lead to inflation.

“There is $1000 bill in the United States and that has not negatively affected the economy there. It is not carried by all Americans, but by those who need it. The N5000 note will also be like that," Okupe stressed

EXPOSED! Prominent Men Sponsoring Boko Haram; Plus Video Evidence

The truth is finally coming out with regards to the deadly operations of the Boko Haram sect in Northern Nigeria, Olufamous.com gathered.

A Maiduguri-based cleric, Pastor Kallamu Musa Ali Dikwa, has unmasked those believed to be behind the activities of the dreaded Islamic sect.

He has also gone a step forward by sending the names of the alleged sponsors to the President of the Senate, David Mark, for necessary action.

The cleric chronicled the activities of the sect in an open letter to the Senate President entitled, “Open letter to the Senate president: My Suggestion on how to tackle Boko Haram,” dated 17th June, 2011 but was received by the office of the Senate President on November 2, 2011.

Investigation showed that alarmed by the claims of the cleric in the open letter, which was backed with five DVD-CDs containing video clips of the activities of the sect and their sponsors, the Senate president reportedly referred the matter, along with the five DVD-CDs, to the appropriate Senate committee for a thorough investigation on February 29, 2012.

Unfortunately, nothing was heard since then, because of the names of the prominent Nigerians and top government officials mentioned.

In the open letter, the cleric suggested that the Freedom of Information Act should be used to extract the phone numbers of the leaders of the Boko Haram group from journalists who had been receiving text messages and press releases from the group from time to time.

He advised that the government should start the crusade of ending the Boko Haram menace in the country by fishing out its officials and security agents supporting the terrorist group since it had now been established that the group was being supported by prominent Nigerians, top government officials and security personnel.

The pastor, who identified the head of one of the prominent Federal Government agencies as the financial secretary of the group, alleged in the letter that the “Islamic Revolution has a security committee” with a former principal officer in the Senate, as well as a former governor from the North as members, saying that the main aim of the group is to Islamise Nigeria through Jihad.

Pastor Dikwa also revealed all his interactions with the now late leader of the group, Mohammed Yusuf, since 2006 till he was killed and why he was killed and why the group continued to attack churches, security personnel and installations.

A top aide to the Senate president confirmed that the office received the letter and, as usual, passed same to Senator Mark and that he immediately sent it to the appropriate quarters for a thorough investigation because of its sensitivity.

“It is true, a letter like that was received from a cleric. I can't remember his name again but the Senate president acted on it. Maybe the investigation is still in progress, I don't know. But now that you are raising it, we will find out. The claims of the cleric are nothing that can be overlooked; something will have to be done,” the Senate President's aide said

Woman falls from the sky? Oh dear! :-)

Why do people believe such stories? I don't! But some of  you might, so decided to share..:-). According to a AAB reader who took the photo and sent the story in; around 4am this morning, a woman (pictured above) supposedly fell from the sky in front of a house that was doing all night prayer. The house is behind Redeemed Christian Church of God, Eagle Island, Port Harcourt, Rivers State. They said after she fell, she started crying and speaking a language nobody could understand.

Usually with stories like this we hear of mob action. But nobody tried to beat this woman. People were too scared to go near her. Halleluyah for that!

Some of you remember that 11 year old boy that was set ablaze some years back in Surulere, after some people claimed he fell from the sky? Fashola arrested quite a number of people for his murder, but were all later released. Why do some people believe such stories? Do you? Are there really flying witches at night? I'm on the fence on this one :-)

UNIBEN student, Daniel Ike, gunned down by suspected cultists

23 year old Daniel Ike popularly known as 'Afro Dan', a final year student of Chemical Engineering, University of Benin, was shot in the face on Friday night September 7th at Vincente Hostel, Ekosodin, just behind UNIBEN.

Daniel went to the hostel to see a female friend when he was attacked by some guys who shot him point blank in the face. Daniel died instantly.

Students of the school and friends of Daniel who sent me this story said he had just 20 days left in school before graduation. He was supposed to start his final paper next week Monday.

The reason why he was killed is still unknown as friends say Daniel wasn't a cultist; he was just a popular good looking rich kid. His parents and the police have been informed about his murder.

So sad. RIP, Daniel!
